Below is a list of upcoming workshops which will be hosted by our store in Orem. For EACH workshop you wish to attend, click the button to the right of the workshop's date; a web page will be opened for you to provide the necessary information to request registration for the workshop.

Unless otherwise shown, all of these workshops are being offered at no charge,
however each workshop is restricted to the number of participants shown.

All participants will also have the opportunity to spend time with our experienced staff design consultants!

Tote Bags Workshop and Q&A Session: Messenger Bags

Date: Saturday, February 4, 11am

Sure, it�s fashionable, but why is it called a ''messenger bag?'' Because letter carriers, couriers, even army guys may use it to carry messages, naturally. Messenger bags come in all sizes, and you can find them in a variety of materials. Most often, however, a messenger bag is a fairly large, rectangular bag with a flap over the top opening. A traditional bag is made of canvas with a webbing strap. Whether you want a ''real'' messenger bag made of army drab canvas or a more modern, colorful version, you can make your own bag to create the look that is exactly right for you!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
This workshop can easily be used to create environmentally friendly bags which can be reused again and again!

Fabric Flowers Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, February 18, 11am

Learn to make fabric flowers to embelish your handbags and coats as well as wear them in your hair. They are a hot trend and everyone wants to make them!

Watch a demo on several basic styles of fabric flowers by one of our knowledgeable staff. We'll help you pick out the best fabric for your project whether it be to accessorize a pillow, or to put in your hair. You won't want to miss out!

Headboard Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, March 3, 11am

Making your own custom designed and fabricated headboard can bring lots of personality to a bedroom. Less expensive than most purchased headboards, a fabric-covered style also provides softness and a comfortable resting place for reading.

Though creating a custom headboard will require some basic know-how and tools, you'll be surprised how easy it is to make. So, come join us and we'll show you how to design and create a unique upholstered headboard that can be used on any bed!

Together with some of our knowledgeable staff, go over how to make a simple yet stunning headboard that will help elevate any bedroom decor! We'll help you pick out the best fabrics and supplies for the look you want. You'll be amazed how quick and easy this project can be!

Decorative Pillows Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, March 17, 11am

Decorative pillows are the perfect way to add a personal touch to any room. However, despite their small size, these pillows can be quite expensive, especially when you buy three or four of them. Luckily, it is quite easy to learn how to make a pillow.

Learn how to create, mix and match fantastic decorative pillows that will enhance any décor in your home!

One of our knowledgeable staff will go over some basic styles, the best fabrics to use to achieve the look you want, how to use the latest in trims and cordings, and what type of pillow form is best for your home. You don't want to miss out on the fun!

Pillow Shams Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, March 31, 11am

If you don't sew, or if you're a beginner, pillow shams are great projects to start with. They're easy to make and can be completed in minutes, so you can see the results of your work almost immediately.

Join us and we'll show you how to transform the look of any pillow by creating unique pillow shams.

Memo Board Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, April 14, 11am

Organize and personalize a kitchen, bedroom, play room or office space with this creative project. Using any fabric to suit your décor, you can make a decorative memo board to hold photos, notes, recipes or mementos with style -- and without poking them with holes to secure them with tacks.

This is a project that can be completed with minimal supplies, usually in about two hours. Fabric memo boards also make practical gifts for kids, teens or co-workers.

Dining Room Chairs Reupholstery Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, April 28, 11am

If your dining room set is beginning to look faded, it may be time to upholster your dining room chairs. Reupholstering gives DIY-ers the opportunity to completely change the look of their favorite furniture, or to restore it to its original flair. This is a project that can be completed by anyone with the tools and time required.
