Below is a list of upcoming workshops which will be hosted by our store in Mesa. For EACH workshop you wish to attend, click the button to the right of the workshop's date; a web page will be opened for you to provide the necessary information to request registration for the workshop.

Unless otherwise shown, all of these workshops are being offered at no charge,
however each workshop is restricted to the number of participants shown.

All participants will also have the opportunity to spend time with our experienced staff design consultants!

Valance Workshop and Q&A Session: Box Pleat Style

Date: Thursday, September 9, 11am

Learn how to accent your windows quickly and easily by adding valances. Of course, some of the most popular reasons and benefits to add a valance to your window are:

Valances can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes as well as colors and styles. You can create an elegant look, basic look, or even a contemporary look with the use of window valances. They can create a very stylish look and can even be used on top of and with your existing curtains.

This will be a hands-on workshop! Come early to shop for your fabric & remember to bring your scissors!

Decorative Pillows Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Thursday, September 16, 3pm

Decorative pillows are the perfect way to add a personal touch to any room. However, despite their small size, these pillows can be quite expensive, especially when you buy three or four of them. Luckily, it is quite easy to learn how to make a pillow.

Learn how to create, mix and match fantastic decorative pillows that will enhance any décor in your home!

This will be a hands-on workshop! Come early to shop for your fabric & remember to bring your scissors!

Upholstery Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, September 18, 12pm

Reupholstering can be a great alternative to buying new furniture for your dining room, living room, or bedroom. You can reupholster almost any type of furniture that has been covered in fabric, and, if you are up to the challenge, you can save a lot of money by doing it yourself. Many people decide to take up the challenge of reupholstering because it:

saves time spent on ordering custom furniture
allows you to choose the exact type of fabric and cushioning you want in your piece
allows you to salvage antique furniture or furniture that has sentimental value

So, before you kick that old chair or couch to the curb, consider renewing that old furniture with some brand new upholstery. Like sanding and refinishing, reupholstering an old chair, couch, or cushion can really give new life to some of your older pieces. And, it can give you a chance to express some of your own creativity, in a hands-on fashion!

This workshop has been disigned to explain basic upholstery techniques with a Q&A session held immediately afterward by our designer.

Drapery Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Thursday, September 23, 11am

Talk about drama. There's nothing like a gorgeous set of draperies sweeping the floor to set a design tone in your home. Like wallpaper and ladylike dresses, drapes and curtains are back in a big way because of their ability to add glamour to any room, effortlessly.

Add a finishing touch, change the look of your window with the seasons or whenever the mood strikes with drapery panels. Soften harsh edges with soft floaty fabrics. Invite spring and summer by flanking existing window coverings with sheer gauzy draperies. Switch to heavier fabrics in fall and winter to add a layer of insulation around windows. Dazzle your holiday guests by framing your windows with shimmering fabrics.

Duvet Cover Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Saturday, September 25, 12pm

Are you considering refreshing the look of your bedding this season? Whether your design calls for bedding with a bold pattern in vibrant colors or a subdued nature theme in a calming color palate, we'll show you the fabrics and techniques to create a duvet cover that completes your vision.

This workshop will also include a matching pillow shams demonstration!

Dust Ruffles Workshop and Q&A Session

Date: Thursday, September 30, 3pm

Learn everything you ever wanted to know about dust ruffles. While a dust ruffle serves largely as a decorative piece, it also helps prevent dust from collecting beneath the bed.

We'll be taking you through the construction of several different styles, from tailored to gathered.
