Choosing the Best Fabric for Your Project Q&A Session
(bullet point...) Date: Saturday, February 11, 1pm

This will be an instructional tour. There is such a tremendous selection of fabrics available; the job of choosing fabric can be overwhelming. As you peruse different fabrics, you may be drawn to the bright, splashy colors at first. Then, the subtle colors, interesting textures and weaves present you with more possibilities. It is essential to be informed about fabrics, so that your project is successful. But, it is still important for you to fall in love with the fabric!

We will begin by breaking down different types of fabric into categories, then sub-categories. You'll learn what different fabrics are made of, how they will drape (flow), and what the care requirements will be. You'll also learn some of the tricks the pros use to choose the best weight, pattern, and scale for your project.

Also we will show you how pattern match fabrics for decorating projects.

Upholstery Workshop and Q&A Session: Antique Chairs
(bullet point...) Date: Saturday, February 18, 2pm

Whether you find it at a yard sale, antique shop or your grandparents' attic, that old chair is just too beautiful to pass up, even if its fabric has seen better days. The good news is that it isn't hard to reupholster a chair, which saves you money, increases the life of the chair and will give you a sense of accomplishment. Choose fabric that echoes the chair's antique beauty, or choose a more modern fabric to bring it up to date.

This class will focus on Diamond Tufting taught by Richelle Plett*, Owner of Touch Interiors. If you have always wanted to learn the ''Do's and Dont's'' of Diamond Tufting come join our class! Change the look of an old chair or headboard by adding Tufting!
